Kyra Solutions is happy to welcome Sean Poole, our new Director of Transportation Solutions. His focus will be to coordinate USDOT grants, budgets, and business development activities with state and local governments.

Sean was most recently the Deputy Assistant Secretary in charge of intergovernmental affairs for the United States Department of Transportation (USDOT). In this role, he coordinated with all 50 states, federal territories, tribal nations, and thousands of local governments to administer grants programs worth over $18 billion per year. At USDOT, Sean was a very popular speaker in high demand to deliver Secretary Elaine Chao’s message to state and local governments’ project sites across the country. Prior to USDOT, Sean worked in Atlanta for a Government Pension Fund Administration company as a Financial Analyst and Special Assistant to the CEO. As a college intern, Sean worked with the US Congress and Georgia Governor Nathan Deal.

Sean has moved back to his hometown Tallahassee where he lives with his wife, Heather. He is a graduate of Georgia Tech, where he was a student athlete playing two sports (baseball, 2nd base; and football, kicker).
